The 2012 State Holstein Convention was hosted by the Redwood Empire Holstein Club January 26-28. Thank you to convention chairperson Marilyn Herzog and her committee members for hosting a wonderful convention full of great friends, generous hospitality, and fun memories! Host day on Thursday included farm tours, dinner and the State Convention Sale. Go to the Sale & Shows page for more information; sale catalog and high sellers. Friday evening the Annual Senior banquet was held. Guests enjoyed a hosted wine and cheese reception, and live local music. Two prestigious awards were given out at the banquet.

We are all saddened to hear of the passing of Doug Maddox of Ruann and Maddox Dairies. He was a friend, leader, and true supporter of the Holstein Cow, and will be greatly missed.
