It
was a beautiful day for a sale Saturday, January 26th, in Lodi, CA.
Despite horrible weather in southern California and earlier
rain
around the convention, Saturday dawned with sunshine and warm temperatures.
Hosted by Hank & Carolyn Van Exel and family, the Gold Rush
‘08 Sale was a packed event. Topping the sale at $14,200 was R-John
Goldwyn Greta-ET, a 3/06 Goldwyn due in June to Dundee. Her dam is
Den-K CK Finley Zia-ET *BL (VG-86, VG-MS) with 2-03 3x 323 32,540
3.2 1038 3.1 1017 x Den-K Rudolph Cub Kiddy *BL (2E-91, GMD-DOM)
with 4-09 2x 365 53,040 3.2 1697 3.3 1754 x five more generations
of VG
and EX. Consigned by R-John Holsteins of Penngrove, CA, Greta
was purchased by Exels Dairy, Henry Grossi and Lorita Holsteins.
The Gold Rush "08 Convention Sale averaged $5,376. Thank you
to the sale hosts, the Central Valley Holstein club, and sales staff,
and most importantly all the consignors and buyers that made the
sale a success! |
