COMPETITION RESULTS
DAIRY JEOPARDY:
Junior Division -
Eric Migliazzo, Participant
Taylor Pires, 4th Place Nationally
Intermediate Division -
Mandy Brazil - 2nd Place Nationally
Alissa Arata - 3rd Place Nationally
SENIOR DIVISION WRITTEN TEST:
California placed 1st on the Written Test.
Individually: David Jones placed 2nd Nationally & Cristina Souza placed
3rd.
JUNIOR DIVISION DAIRY BOWL:
On the Junior Dairy Bowl Team was Captain Philip Fagundes, Tony Lopes,
Jonathan Cota and Rocco Cunningham. Their first competition was
against the Washington Team. The boys lost 250-135. Their
next round was against Missouri with a much better result, the boys won
242-142. Next up was Maryland, which resulted in a narrow loss of
110-90.
SENIOR DIVISION DAIRY BOWL:
On the Senior Dairy Bowl Team was Captain Michael Fagundes, Christina
Souza, David Jones and Jaimie Mancebo. Because the team scored the
highest on the written test, they received a bye for the first round.
The second round they were pitted against Pennsylvaia and lost with a
score of 175-130. The next round was against the state of Utah
scoring a victory of 174-70. California then went against New
England and won with a score of 189-60. The 5th round was against
Indiana, and they beat them with a score of 105-55. The 6th round
presented California with a bye, and they proceeded to the 7th round
against Iowa. California was dealt a loss during this round with a
score of 135-40. Iowa went on to be the overall winner in the
Senior Division.
PUBLIC SPEAKING CONTEST - INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
Mandy Brazil - Participant
David Jones - Won 1st Place in the Intermediate Division
with his speech on Agro-Terrorism.
SCRAPBOOK CONTEST:
California's Scrapbook placed 5th in the Competition.

YDJM (Young Distringuished Junior Member)
California had it's first YDJM, Alissa Arata
from Chowchilla, CA.
Alissa Arata with her award for winning 3rd Place in the Intermediate
Dairy Jeopardy Contest. Mandy Brazil won 2nd place, but returned
to her hometown before the awards banquet to participate in her fair.
Christina Sousa scored 3rd High Overall in the Written Test, and David
Jones scored 2nd High. Christina is pictured in the middle, David
on the far right.
